few late afternoon Joint Line . . .
Author: 3rdswitch

.  .  . was tipped off that two trains were departing Denver on the joint UP BNSF Denver Pueblo Joint Line main with out of the ordinary power. Even though the weather didn't look that great took off in pursuit anyway. First, waiting at MP 30 per DS instruction for moron driven vehicle to be removed from right of way in Castle Rock, was a southbound empty tower train headed for storage at Etter, TX led by exBN now PRLX 8147 and BNSF mate (top) following on his block was warbonnet 711 leading a Denver Pueblo train also near MP 30 (middle) and not far behind at MP29 following the parade was our own SP8595 handling a coal load for Drake power in downtown Colorado Springs (bottom). Not a bad afternoon. Possibly another good BNSF train southbound tomorrow morning HOPEFULLY with no work window to delay things.
