Western Railroad Discussion > CN Nightcrawler @ DunsmuirDate: 07/27/15 23:35 CN Nightcrawler @ Dunsmuir Author: RyanWilkerson If BNSF has the earthworm train, maybe we can call this CN grainer the nightcrawler. Anyway, CN #2296 lead the GMP2FO south through Dunsmuir tonight. After a quick crew change, it was on the move. The power setup is two CN units up front and two CNs on the rear, all facing forward. The previously mentioned (in other threads) mid-train UP DPUs were removed at Klamath Falls, OR.

Brian Date: 07/28/15 09:48 Re: CN Nightcrawler @ Dunsmuir Author: Doodle Must be quite a few of these running around. A CN loaded grain? Train just arrived in Roseville with 4 up front all elephant style. 945am.

Helper consists are not allowed on northward (non intermodal) trains north of Lakehead. The symbol for the the train in Ryan's picture is the GMP2IV-28. Headed for Ivory on one of the shortlines out of Fresno.
