Back To HOT In The Upper Columbia Basin
Author: Ritzville

Another heat wave has hit Ritzville, WA and the West Coast on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 97-58. Traffic was a bit slow today but interesting. I did miss two trains, one had a Frisco Heritage car and also another Frisco heritage go thru on an earlier train. Here's what I've been able to catch today.

1. EB 1026am garbage train with BNSF 4306-6179 on the point with a friendly wave from the conductor.
2. EB 1233pm manifest train with NS 9372-2706 on the pull with friendly wave from the crew and nice sounding 5-chime.
3. Another power shot of same train.

5. The End of same train fading away from Bauman Rd., Ritzville towards CP W. Tokio.
6. EB 141pm manifest train with BNSF 8137, CSX 693, Warbonnet 771 and BNSF 5227 on the pull at Bauman Rd. with friendly toot-toots from the hogger.

10. EB 218pm stack train with BNSF 8209-4479-7113 on the pull.
11. WB 438pm coal train with BNSF 5628-8933 on the point with DPU's.
12. DPU's BNSF 4579-8534 pushing same train. BNSF 4579 is almost a faded yellow.

That's it for this Hot quiet day, but flood gates will open for the evening rush. Hope everyone has a great evening and tomorrow! Thanks so much for taking the time to look!

Larry

Larry,

If you had stayed up late, you would have seen a few NS, a CSX and FXE on trains that went by you at night...   Oh well, maybe on the return trip..
