Western Railroad Discussion > Only 2 trains today but both were special in their own way

I had a bit of a crazy day here on the UP Austin Sub. ZSAYCX-01 was heading north with a pair of CSXT motors. It left San Antonio shortly after 08:00. By noon or shortly after, it had made it to Kyle (60 miles). And there it sat. ALDAS was ahead of it and had a mechanical problem with one of its cars at MP 190 (Manchaca). Finally got rolling north at 14:31. CEMX cement loads were the first train through at 14:55. My CSXT's came through at 15:13. That "Z" train made 70 miles in a little over 7 hours.

1. The special thing about train #1 was the ex-SP 8167 still wearing a red frame stripe. Hadn't seen one of these in a while.
2-3. CSXT 47 and CSXT 3187 coming and going.

Nice to have the variety of stack trains as well as the manifests and others, specially to get foreighn power too.
