My two sons and a friend chase trains with me one morning just south of Dunsmuir at Castle Creek. The locals build a small rock dam to create a place to swim and swing on the rope under the bridge. In this photo, my oldest son and his friend watch the southbound train head over the creek while my youngest son kicks out on the swing.

Trust me, my oldest daughter is starting her sophmore year of college in two weeks while my youngest is just started her junior year of high school today, it is not only the summers that get shorter. Looking back it seems like it was only about the length of a nice long shower that my oldest was starting kindergarten. Very nice photo, btw.
