Western Railroad Discussion > Good Things come to Those Who WaitDate: 09/01/15 03:56 Good Things come to Those Who Wait Author: rrartist This thread started out Sunday afternoon with two BNSF east-bounds starting with the Q-SSECHC, BNSF 9021 which was followed by the BNSF 6784 and it's load of Bakken crude. Monday afternoon found me in Dakota MN for, well, let's just say, it was colorful! CP 298, CP 8877 started off the show.

CP 375, CP 9769 rolled through town next, that CP 9765 sure doesn't look very Christmasy these days! Speaking of NS power, CP 581 rolls towards the Twin Cities behind the NS 1035, Hold on we are not quite done yet!

It sure was nice to catch this KCS duo! The next train was also a nice treat, UP LTA-41, the Adams WI to Winona MN freight, class unit UP 2200 leads the train into Dakota yesterday afternoon.

Lastly, with another surprise was CP 581, running as the ex-SP UP 6150! I'm usually home by this time of the day, but today, good things come to those who wait! Have a GREAT week!

Date: 09/01/15 20:02 Re: Good Things come to Those Who Wait Author: SP8595 I was getting worried there for a second, you almost made it a whole series without getting a standard cab leader:}
Great variety and Awesome shots as usual! Date: 09/02/15 01:09 Re: Good Things come to Those Who Wait Author: Railfan4Christ Great stuff, James! Love all that variety, and all that foliage. Thanks for posting.
Tom Date: 09/02/15 21:01 Re: Good Things come to Those Who Wait Author: MP4093 Good location, good variety and good operator behind the lens. The KCS belles with a neat matched hopper consist in the S curve is nice. I have noted that KCS seems to mate 1 EMD and 1 GE often. Not sure if it is intentional or luck of the draw.
