Another Day On The Railroad with Variety On The BNSF
Author: Ritzville

It was a nice cool windy day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 72-50. Traffic was busy before I got up this morning and then thinned out a bit. Today with the heavy breeze, dust was flying at times in certain areas. Here are some of the trains that rolled by yesterday afternoon-evening and today so far.

1. EB 503pm manifest train with BNSF 8973-5673 and older 140 on the point with a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
2. Another shot of BNSF 140.
3. WB 653pm oil train with BNSF 7242 and Warbonnet 701 on the pull with a friendly wave from the hogger.

Always like your photos of BNSF.   Nice catch of the green BN unit in good paint and I really like the oil train pic.

The BNSF 5522 ended up being a bit crispy as it reach CP Babb last evening as seen after the fire had been put out and a new extraboard crew was put on...    Not seen was the BNSF L NWE830 meeting the e/b oil train with the #6345 leading the now dead #5522..

Thanks for the updated picture of BNSF 5522, it looked better going thru my backyard, lol. A possible new paint job in the future.
