Barstow, Needles, Winslow, Belen, Clovis, Amarillo, Wellington, Kansas City, Ft Madison, Chicago area. With Belen to Amarillo long pools for some trains ( some trains go through Clovis without crew change ) and San Bernardino to Needles long pools on some trains ( a few trains go through Barstow without crew change). On the Nortern CA route Barstow to Bakersfield, Needles to Bakersfield long pools on some trains and north of Bakersfield USED to be Bakersfield to Fresno, Fresno to Stockton, Stockton to Richmond but think that has changed.

Just wondering for the Norcal (Richmond) extension,
Does BNSF still change crew at Fresno-CALWA ????
In 1980s ATSF ran crews from Richmond--Calwa (Fresno) then
Calwa to Bakersfield and then onward to Barstow.
Bakersfield is obvious even if they have Richmond to Bakersfield LONG pool trains.
The answers to my post plus the LA to Chocago answers would
cover all of the former ATSF western lines.
GOOD and informative info here.  Thanks for the info already provided.

You forgot Galesburg. Yes that is right as we have the Galesburg-Kansas City Pool. And we have Galesburg-Chicago which is the trains made at G-burg and the Local.

A longer then normal crew pool, usually bypasses an intermediate crew change point. Used for priority Z trains.

I believe this is just for manifests, and eliminates the Ft. Madison crew change for
those trains. (This may include the unit trains that come off the old Q in G'burg.)
The intermodals change at Ft. Madison and run through Galesburg.  Also,
some of the KC intermodal changes now take place at Kansas City Logistics Park which
is located between Gardner and Edgerton, KS, some 30 miles west of Argentine, the old
KC crew change spot.
