MRL's Gas Local along the 10th Sub
Author: MrMRL

From October 1st, 2015. A few captures of the late morning eastbound trip of Montana Rail Link's daily unit tank car run from Thompson Fails to Missoula MT. Images taken along MRL's TWC operated 10th Sub between Paradise and Evaro, MT. Weather was unfortunately very gray and neutral, but I still enjoyed the chase with a pair of clean 4400 series Red Ball SD70ACes.

1. Having successfully copied their warrants. the train accelerates onto the 10th Sub at Paradise, MT.
2. Just a couple miles east of Paradise, the Gas Local is seen following the north bank of the Flathead River.

And for all those interested, some 50 new rosters and detail images of the white (and now a few black) GATX tank cars used on the Gas Local have been uploaded to my PBase site.

Rob,

Nice set of Gas Train action. I feel the need to remind you the train is twice daily.

Very nice, very pretty!  Glad you were able to get up there despite the drab weather.

Great shots Robbie! I just got back from vacation and had great weather up there. i didn't go west of Missoula though, I wish I could have we ran out of money and time. We got up at 6am and drove tell we made it back home. It was a lot of seat time.
