More of the Rotaries on Donner
Author: JamesSchlinger

On what was easily the nastiest, coldest day on Donner that I have ever experienced, SPMW 209 works upgrade approaching Soda Springs (March 26, 2011).

The exact location is on the curve that begins above the signal bridge that can be seen off to the right of the Norden/Soda S. freeway exit.

That's what we're all praying for up here for this year.

It's hard to imagine that much snow.  Amazing.

I agree with "... nastiest, coldest day on Donner...", but at least you didn't have to blaze the trail to get trackside!!!  LOL!!!   I still vividly remember your enthusiastic 'Thanks'!

Yes, but...I went in a good couple hundred feet farther to the west, remember?!?! Had it not been for your trail, I wouldn't have made it to where I took this shot. But very true, arriving to find a nice path all set up to a spot I wanted to get to was great. Thanks again, 4+ years later! lol...
