Monday's ZNPOA exits the big hole on Donner Pass as this strange white stuff clings to the ground...  People say it's this stuff called snow, few of us Californians remember the stuff.

We're off to a good start, and another very cold storm due in next week.

So far the storms have been occuring 1x week and have been on the light side. We need several storms a week to make a dent in the drought.

Awesome shot! Yes, we could use more snow but any snow at all these days is better than nothing. I haven't bothered with the Big Hole since that space station-esque tower was put in, all but destroying the shot (yes, I know, its a business and UP had to put the tower in). Anyway, the cool thing about this shot is that the exhaust for the most part masks that hideous tower.
