Today I arrived in Durango and got to go on the shops and grabbed some other photos.Four more days in town, can't wait.

Enjoy your stay! Besides the narrow gauge addiction, Durango has a pretty good food scene, too. If you are going to splurge, don't forget to opt for the Silver Vista or Knight Sky.

I'll second that! We rode Silver Vista in 2011. Couple of shots attached to whet your appetite.

Only downside to that car is they can't really close up the sides if they get any windblown rain. With summer afternoon thuderstorms in the mountains being what they are, about two weeks out I opted to change our reservation to the obs car on the return trip. Wise move as it poured on the way back and the Mrs. stayed nice and dry and enjoyed her beverages. As a bonus the car host on the parlor gave us a whole second set of swag (tote bags, coffe mugs) on the reurn trip, so we had gifts for friends when we got home!

I have a great seat in the Knight Sky for tomorrows run.
