Happy Thanksgiving but not for these turkeys!
Author: highgreengraphics

I wonder how many turkeys are in these seven truck trailer loads being ventilated at West Liberty, IA on October 21 at the processing plant, and if any of them have found their way to your Thanksgiving table today!

To keep the railroad content, here is the view looking the other way on the same day of an eastbound CBBI at West Liberty going past the depot that sits at an odd angle due to an intersecting RI Burlington to Cedar Rapids line that once passed behind the depot and crossed on a diamond, and passed the far end of the structure with the turkey trailers under it in the first view.

Happy notmuchrailfanning on Thanksgiving! === === = === JLH

Do think the weather (rain/sleet/ice/snow) is going to take care of T'Day railfanning, but
Happy Thanksgiving to all on TO and may your Holidaze be great!

I long ago gave up eating Turkey and you're photo, showing them jammed together, is one reason why.  Primarily, however, I gave up Turkey because of how they are fed way too much food way too fast to "fatten them up".  As a result some can barely stand when they get really big.  The few that are saved by rescue groups such as Farm Sanctuary usually have heart problems as a result of their diet.

Nice Iowa Interstate photo BTW!

Allen. they might be shipped that way but most Iowa turkeys are raised in open areas
with much better feed than you describe.

I'm with ya on that, seeing the conditions livestock, particularly chickens and turkeys, live in, I made the decision to stop eating meat altogether.

We just had an "open range" happy turkey and it was delicious! There will be a huge turkey sandwich going on the road with me tomorrow. God bless America, all the bounties we enjoy, and the FREEDOM of choice each of us can make for ourselves. :-) Celebrate OUR day, however YOU see fit!

Signal is not active, looks like somebody was playing around with it and managed to rotate one or both heads around the mast a little === === = === JLH.
