I think the OP posted a separate update for CNW and DRGW units recently, so I would put this unit in that bucket.

For CNW units, anyhow, it'll be nice to know the status for those that have alerters equipped - otherwise, the units are not supposed to lead. Seems the conductor is protecting the point in your photo, so UP 6710 probably can't lead.

I caught the UP 6707 leading few years ago, but seems that one was repainted, oh well. Anyway, thank you, JRossi, for posting these updates!

The 1996 is in Mojave, CA as of 10:00.
