Western Railroad Discussion > Beaumont TX AreaDate: 12/09/15 22:35 Beaumont TX Area Author: dal3294 Took a day trip out to Beaumont to explore what RRing goes on in the area. BNSF/UP/KCS have plenty to see. Here are 3 shots from the day this past weekend.
Shot 1: BNSF and UP manifest trains wait for Amtrak to pass on the mainline in the middle. Shot 2: KCS manifest passes through Beaumont. Shot 3: Sunset limited runs towards Houston under an old SP signal bridge. Enjoy! -Ryan N. Date: 12/11/15 05:48 Re: Beaumont TX Area Author: StStephen I believe the former SP yard in Beaumont used to be a mini-hump, similar to the pocket yard in Richmond, CA. Is that still the case? Believe Beaumont is mostly chemical traffic, too?

Lots of chemicals! mapboy |
