Western Railroad Discussion > Amtrak Conductor/Engineer Jim CanarisDate: 02/02/16 14:14 Amtrak Conductor/Engineer Jim Canaris Author: CPCoyote I received an email today saying that retired engineer Jim Canaris passed away February 1. Jim was a SP Coast man and finished his career with Amtrak as an engineer on Caltrain. To be honest, I was told a few months ago that Jim had passed away, so I was surprised to hear that today. I guess that was in error. Rest in peace Jim.
