EWG recently picked up the C40-8 ex-UP #9129. The locomotive was fresh out of the shop with new wheels when sold, and so far appears to be a good locomotive with only a few minor issues. It came in real handy last week moving a number of grain cars over the line.

In other news, MRL 260 should soon be on the EWG for a few months so the SD40T-2 #8702 can get some much needed work done. MRL 260 was previosuly on the EWG in 2008 for a time.

Be kind to the MRL 260 while you are using it. It has a full -2 electrical cabinet upgrade with advanced wheel slip controls. It will serve you well.

Ted, you work in a real nice looking country atmosphere with great scenery in the upper Columbian Basin. Very nice shots all around!

Excellent photos and coverage of the "home road" Ted.  I especially like the photo locations you chose to share with us.  I've only shot this line a few times under Burlington Northern ownership and I have to say your coverage is well done.

Thanks for sharing them.

It is a lot easier for Ted to take pictures as he has been the conductor lately.  A few of us recently got our engineer's card, therefore allowing the regular engineers to be conductors again..

Great photos Ted!   I really like the Hwy. 2 at MP101 & the Hartline ones...
