Western Railroad Discussion > Northwest and Down! Part One..

At the end of last month, a friend and I drove a truck from the Dallas to Seattle area, which meant a little bit of railfanning involved on the trip back. Of course, I was only able to bag a few shots on the trip home. Here's a few shots I bagged on the way up there.

1) An Eastbound BNSF stacker just east of Childress, TX in the middle of the night. I just jumped off US 287 for this shot.

2) A dark, eerie shot, an empty BNSF coal train just north of Pueblo, CO with the power shut off and no crew.

3) An Eastbound UP manifest west of Laramie, WY along US 30, with the mountains and cattle grazing in the foreground.
