Western Railroad Discussion > The Old Man and the UPDate: 04/19/16 04:38 The Old Man and the UP Author: rrartist I will start this thread with a nice look back at the BNSF 3162, the highest numbered ex-BN 5 man cab GP50 or should I say GP25? The 3162 was sunning itself near the BNSF Yard Office in La Crosse WI. BNSF 4001 leads the H PASBRC past the MOW Steel Gang working on the southside of La Crosse while the BNSF 6962 leads the H NTWGAL out of town Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after noon I ventured up to the northside to see the westbound UP train, LTA-41. As the train approached, the hogger gave me a small whistle wave which caught the attention of the old man on his bike, maybe he was doing the same as I?
