The Old Man and the UP
Author: rrartist

I will start this thread with a nice look back at the BNSF 3162, the highest numbered ex-BN 5 man cab GP50 or should I say GP25? The 3162 was sunning itself near the BNSF Yard Office in La Crosse WI. BNSF 4001 leads the H PASBRC past the MOW Steel Gang working on the southside of La Crosse while the BNSF 6962 leads the H NTWGAL out of town Sunday afternoon.

BNSF SD70Ace 8483 leads the hot eastbound Z PTLCHC towards Chicago yesterday morning, the hogger definitely had this train in the company notch! Shortly after noon I ventured up to the northside to see the westbound UP train, LTA-41. As the train approached, the hogger gave me a small whistle wave which caught the attention of the old man on his bike, maybe he was doing the same as I?

Good stuff, Jim.  And good catch on that ex-WP GP40, probably a dash two, leading the UP train.  Don't
see those around here!
