This morning I found myself staring at up 9031 trying to figure out what model of the sd70ace it was. Still can't find it on the web must be really new. It looked good. It was heading east in Benicia CA at 0530pt this morning. It was the dpu on a auto rack train. Don't know if was heading north or east from Roseville. If someone catches it I hope they put up a picture. If anyone knows what model it is just reply so I know what I saw. Thanks

9031 should be a brand new SD70ACe that's a Tier 4 credit unit (meaning, Tier 3 compliant).  I haven't heard what numbers are assigned to the UP SD70ACe-T4s, but I haven't heard that they're being built/released yet.

The SD70ace group runs 899-9061...

Thanks, didn't think it was a T4 yet didn't have the features I was looking for at least.

The order was for 100 units, #8997-#9096, serials #20146115-1 to #20146115-100.  The question is, will future orders be placed in the #91xx-series, #92xx-series, and lower #93xx-series currently occupied by the standard cab Dash 8's?  (With so many of these engines either retired or stored.)

The order is actually for 65 units -- 8997-9061
