Nevada Southern Railway (Nevada State Railroad Museum - Boulder City) approaches the end of its four mile run behind Railroad Pass Casino at mp 18.4 on the BMI branch on a nice spring day.   This was a weekday run for a private school and the kids really enjoyed the open air car!!

Great pictures! Why did they paint out the Union Pacific on the 844? Copyright reasons from UP?

Our 844 is up for re-painting so the decals were removed and the engine cleaned.  Then our NW2 developed electrical issues so we had to place 844 back in service. When finished it will have new UP decals!

What are their normal operatimg days?

What lettering scheme? It can be "Dependable Transportation", "We Can Handle It" or the 1970's shield on the cab. I have pics of it in the Omaha area before retirement. TFV

The power car was built on site from an old UP box car when the operation was being set up 10-12 years ago.  That's about all I know about it. It has two diesel gensets in it.

The train runs every Saturday & Sunday (except for January), four runs each day.

No lettering scheme - just U.P. (I think they have already pruchased the decals).  I was lupcky to get several picture of 844 all over the system when it was in service.
