Western Railroad Discussion > A parked BNSF ballast train, plus engine shuffle at LPKCDate: 05/26/16 07:31 A parked BNSF ballast train, plus engine shuffle at LPKC Author: JoCoLB I discovered a parked BNSF Railway ballast train yesterday, Wednesday, May 25, 2016, when I went to check on activity at the Logistics Park Kansas City intermodal center in Edgderton, Kan. Norfolk Southern No. 9475 was the leader on the ballast train resting on a run-around track on the north side of the facility.
While I was present, a couple of engine units were repositioned on one of the ramp tracks. I immediately changed photo angles. The Citirail unit visible in Photo Three was No. 1323. Edited 1 time(s). It leads out into the green space, does it connect on the other end back into the facility? What kind of use will it have? Thx for the info
