Western Railroad Discussion > Just a few from the Austin SubDate: 05/26/16 17:47 Just a few from the Austin Sub Author: PALuvR I finally got back out on Tuesday after a too-long break from being trackside. I caught an autorack train NB in Manchaca MP 190 on the UP Austin Sub. Then today I shot a few more.1st up was a NB manifest in Bergstrom Siding in South Austin waiting on #22 to come around.
1. A pair of SD70ACe's leading NB autoracks on 5/24/16 2. UP 5914, 4931, 6614 and 7643 waiting for the NB Texas Eagle 3. Coming around - 6 more - Date: 05/26/16 17:52 Re: Just a few from the Austin Sub Author: PALuvR Once #22 had passed, UP 5914 gets its train on the move.
4. Starting to roll NB down Bergstrom Hill into Austin 5-6. A couple of "Fallen Flag" hoppers Date: 05/26/16 17:59 Re: Just a few from the Austin Sub Author: PALuvR Last train of the morning was an EMD-led NB autorack train. Trailing unit was a freshly painted C44AC. The previous train had a less-than-fresh one in its consist.
I appreciate y'all taking a look. Mike 7. Rolling through N. Bergstrom 8-9. These 1997 vintage GE's clean up pretty nice, don't they? Date: 05/26/16 18:20 Re: Just a few from the Austin Sub Author: Ritzville Glad you were able to get out trackside with Amtrak and freight action. Like seeing those EMD's, the GE 6611 certainly did clean up with new paint.
