I sure could use a train! (vol #8)

But then, sometimes a railfan photographer just has to make do without one. C'est la vie

Uncle Pete, where were you?

Thanks for the nice words, guys! Part of the fun of being a railfan photographer is adapting to a given situation when you're out shooting. This thread is the 8th (see "vol #8" in my thread title) in a series I've been posting. We ALL get into photographic situations where a set of circumstances or a sunrise/sunset/weather pattern, -pick one-, that just cries out for a train to grace your photo scene. But nary a train shows up. All you have left is to just do the best you can with the situation at hand. So my series is a sort of tribute to all the times we photographers are out there and don't get that train when we really need one...

Sometimes you can have that "better day" without a train...
