This past Sunday started off with nice sunny skies and the BNSF 767 heading east towards Chicago from the BNSF Yard in La Crosse WI. The clouds quickly joined forces and hijacked the sun when the BNSF 1436 - 1922 arrived with a Work Train, even the caboose was Cascade Green! Although the sun did return in earnst later on Sunday, it was Monday, yes Monday that rocked! BNSF 9787 smokes into Prairie Du Chein early Monday morning with the U TNDCXP in tow and my son at the throttle. What a NICE way to start the week!

Here are two more views of that  "old" BNSF 9787 charging through Prairie Du Chein yesterday morning, can you say SWEET!!!! Back up in La Crosse, the Z SSECHC heads east behind the BNSF 6526 and friends.

BNSF train H NTWBRC followed the Z train towards Chicago with a nice clean BNSF 8370 leading. ATCS showed a westbound CP train getting close, so I meandered over to the Amtrak Depot for CP 381 and the NS 7258, a nice SD70AceU rebuild! Time for one more Z train, Z PTLCHC hustles through CP GRAF on the east side of La Crosse.

Here's a train that I caught on Thursday that fit well into my thread about "older" locomotives. NS 6765 leads the U CXPTND into La Crosse in the hazy morning sun. Yes we do get many "new" locomotives through La Crosse, but oh those that are old are golden!
