Western Railroad Discussion > Warbonnets and KC's West BottomsDate: 07/28/16 12:55 Warbonnets and KC's West Bottoms Author: bnsfsd70 Photo 1: On Tuesday afternoon, after a trip to Doc's Caboose, I went out to do some railfanning. Thanks to a timely heads-up, I was able to catch this BNSF's Murray-Argentine transfer behind a pair of warbonnets, the BNSF 670 & 688. Here's it's rolling through the West Bottoms on it's way to Santa Fe Junction. Incredibly, both Russell Honey and I had car troubles at the EXACT SAME TIME on the SAME BRIDGE. So strange how that happened.
Photo 2: In addition to the transfer from Murray, I caught this oddly routed BNSF manifest, with the BNSF 4079 rolling west through the West Bottoms on its way to Argentine. It would eventually hop on the lower level of the KCT bridge and hang a right towards Argentine. Photo 3: While we're at it, here's an in-progress view of the KCS 4124 at MAC. It arrived here back in April after a wreck down in Texas the month before. Enjoy! - Jeff Carlson Date: 07/28/16 15:47 Re: Warbonnets and KC's West Bottoms Author: Cliffs619 Very cool...thanks for sharing. In pic #3, what is the BNSF engine? Weird number.

This was purchased new by BNSF although may have been ordered by Santa Fe., Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/30/16 08:22 by ntharalson. Thanks for the clarification.
