Western Railroad Discussion > Amrak on Spokane International

03: 31   Good Morning,  An Amtrak train with I think, eleven or twelve cars just went Northbound by me at MP 56.32 Vay, Idaho.  It probably was the Eastbound to Sandpoint, Idaho, and points East.   Last time this happened, I think something ugly happened on the BNSF between Spokane Washington, and Sandpoint, Idaho.  Forgot what year that was.  Anybody know any more ?

Apparently No.7 also detoured. Both Nos. 7 & 8 for last night into Spokane show service distruptions and are now 2-3 hours late.

Major bridge crossbeam found cracked or broken yesterday around 1 PM by boater and reported to Track Inspector who shut down all traffic over the bridge until this morning.
