Western Railroad Discussion > Near Zero Traffic Due To Bridge Closure in Idaho On BNSF

It's another blazer in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 98-64. There have been only two trains from 630pm to 300pm sofar, the two "Z" trains. Traffic has been held up for a bridge closure over Lake Pend Orielle near Sandpoint, ID on BNSF mainline. With the extream hot weather maybe that was blessing for me not to be out in the sun, lol. Lucky I had a few shots from yesterday evening, or I wouldn't have much from today. The bridge may be open by now, was suppose to go back into service at 600am. Here are the few from yesterday and today.

1. EB 646pm manifest train with BNSF 4089-5516 and CREX 1411 on the point.
2. EB 701pm manifest train with BNSF 5183-5501-7199 on the pull.
3. WB 724pm manifest train with BNSF 8219-6786-7961-5382-5729 on the point.

4. WB 806pm grain train with BNSF 9256-6801 on the pull with DPU and a friendly wave from the hogger.

7. The End of sane "Z" fading away by old NP Ritzville Depot.
8. WB 230pm "Z" train with BNSF 8168 on the pull near Bauman Rd., Ritzville and friendly toot-toots from the hogger. Train beat me to Bauman Rd., lol.
