Western Railroad Discussion > 2012 AKSARBEN Special

When I posted the shot's of the AKSARBEN Special the other day, someone asked about E units on that special.  I only know history of this special over the last 5 or 6 years so don't know how frequently the E-9's were used prior to that. I did get shots of them being used in 2012.  Power that day was 949, 963b, and 951. 

The first shot attached is the train southbound through Bellevue, the next two are at Oreapolis on the north side of Plattsmouth, and the last one is at Union where the train was turned. They do make a nice looking train!
