Consist in Trinidad tonight is: BNSF 8513, Kootenai River, Canyon Diablo (test cars), BNSF 9130, BNFE 500, BNSF 9131, BNSF 8508. The 8508 was on the south end of the consist so probably be the leader going west...

Good hunting!

Testing confined to runs up and down the pass only?

Looks like it's advertised limits are from Trinidad to French. 0600 on duty in Trinidad Mon-Fri. That geo car is in ABQ now but they haven't called a crew yet to take it north.

Lots of activity out that way recently. There have been multiple ballast trains in the last couple months, including another one, which SD45X mentioned, which is around Abo Canyon now bound for Las Vegas.

As for right now, both Chiefs are roaming around, along with a U ELPKCK5 17Z at Rowe, NM and the U TOPTRI5 17Z tucked away at Trinidad, which will become the set for the test train.

Here's what we have on the lineup for the next few days:

for LAJUNT
D LAJTRI1 20T - 9/20/16 13:00 - Train showed the BNSF 3833 as a leader but I can't quite pinpoint where it is, nor what this train is/was if the set is already in Trinidad. Description shows simply as a power move for the test train.

for TRINCO
W TRITRI1 (dd)A - 9/20-30/16 06:00 -
W TRITRI2 (dd)A - 9/20-30/16 06:01 - Both of these are test trains and both show the same schedules for each day, just with a one minute difference. Not certain if they're the same train or two different ones.
U CYMTPS5 19G - 9/20/16 15:38 - Clayton, New Mexico to Timpas, Colorado gang move. This one is particularly interesting, it'll be on site either today or early tomorrow. Who knows how far they will take it.

There is only one test train.  The reason for two different symbols is because there are two engineers assigned to the job.

Interesting, thanks. Can two 01s not be placed on the same ticket or is the train being run as a helper set type of deal, thus warranting a separate crew?

Can't put two 01s on the same symbol.  Since the train makes mutliple trips up and down the pass every day, one engineer is placed on each end to simplify the process.

U AMALGS8 15B rolled into Trinidad very early this morning. BNSF 3997, 4664, 6061, 7003. Latter three are west facing.
U KIOLGS5 16B is tied down at Beevers outside of Belen. BNSF 5145, 9166, 5280. Nothing certain on a crew, no update since last night about getting anyone qualified to do it.

Nothing on a third train yet.

Latest word is Timpas move tied down outside Trinidad and both ballast trains tied down. Seems the world is at a stand still.

Still sitting in Belen...lineup is showing an estimated call at 0025 on the 22nd (obviously not happening).

Well at least the call isn't moving by 24 hours at a time now. Maybe we'll get a good morning Eastbound run out of it.

According to radio traffic the BNSF dispatcher has 4 trains out today?

Trying to get my bearings here, it's been a few hours since I last sat down and looked at the playing field.

U KIOLGS5 16B just met A 3 at Glorieta. A 4 is a few miles ahead at Rowe.

On the other side, the test train is doing its thing between Gallinas and Wootton on the pass. U CYMTPS5 19G pulled into Timpas around 17:20 yesterday. U AMALGS has flown the coop and become a U TRISAV (Savanna, IL), presumably to respond to multiple washouts along the Mississippi River.
