Dunsmuir Cam is Back!

Thanks for resetting it! There are already two videos. The first one has sound issues but the second one if perfect.

It's the same train, with a 3 minute wait in the middle. The first clip has the sound issue, too bad since that's an interesting part to many people. I suspect it's just the first clip that does this. If it continues I'll go fix it.
Pretty cool that Todd's camera and gear still works after these many years.

Thanks TCnR for taking care of this. I really appreciate this camera. I look to see when the south bound ZBRLC passes through Dunsmuir and decide if I go to Roseville for it or wait at home in Lodi, Ca. I've got it timed out pretty well.

OK, tough one.  At 7:17 pm, there is a UP 925xxx car, black with orange band, two cars after the long group of 89 foot flats with bins for used ties.  I would love to know the car number.  Anyone???

OK, I got to a larger screen and think she is the 925425.  Former CCTX 1047 if I got the UP number correct.  Would still like confimrmation, if someone can.  It could also have been the 925435, a car known to have the orange rotary marking.

Yes indeed.  During the 13 weeks I was working in Klamath Falls, I was able to nab several trains because I had seen them on the cam and knew that 3.5 to 4.5 hours would find them in Oregon.  Really appreciated.  Thanks TCnR and Todd.

The car # is 925435.  Just traced it and 925435 shows its in Dunsmuir while 925425 shows to be in Mojave, CA.

Thanks for the confirmation.  While the D cam is great, it can be hard to read the smaller numbers   These cars are all in the series 925425-925544 and either have a blue end or are painted this way with an orange stripe.  I would appreciate if anyone sees any of these cars, to report it to me with the number and the color.  I beleive there are ten for sure, and one maybe, that were painted with the orange stripe.  Not all went to the UP.  CCTX had 344 of these cars and only 125 made it to the UP, via HLMX.

They tied it down in the yard at Dunsmuir. Probably leave in the morning, or maybe they are collecting all the old, removed ties from the area, both Dunsmuir and Weed have stacks of old wooden ties from MoW work this summer.
