I saw this locomotive sitting in the UP yard in Fresno, CA on Friday. Obiviously it is a former Southern Pacific or Cotton Belt SW1500 and probably formerly UPY 1145. Does anyone know where it is going?

She was Southern Pacific 2566 before coming UPY 1145.  Unfortunately I have no idea where she is going next.

It is going to Harbor Rail Services right there at UP's Fresno yard. They have started working on hopper cars doing contract maintanence for the UP and need something to move them around with. Up unitl now they have had to borrow UP locomotives to move the cars around. Prior to this Harbor Rail Services had been working on UP locomotives at the same location, but of course they can move on their own.

Thanks

I wonder how many times it switched the Fresno Yard as a Southern Pacific locomotive.

In 2012, this unit was leased by Disney and used in making The Lone Ranger. Shipped to Albuquerque,  then trucked to the insular rail line. It pushed the props around the loop track.
