What the heck happened to Al Krug's site? It's gone. Da#%@%, that was one of my favorites.

Al sent a note to his subscribers saying that the free server space had apparently deep-6ed the site. He said that if he couldn't find any other free space that would stick around he would quit as he's tired of uploading lots of files on dial-up. I don't blame him. It was great while it lasted, I hope he has good luck. What about using TO for his stuff?

If his site is too big for TRAINORDERS then I can recommend he use
TRAINWEB they are a good host and have many many rail sites.
They are free unless you want to sell stuff. Check it out.

The free internet is crumbling around us. I picked up in a few of the webmaster's posts here that he's having problems with paying for bandwidth. That's a very common problem in the internet, as the ad-based revenue model falls apart. We're seeing the slow demise of all the free content that we've come to expect. Not suprising, as nothing is ever truly free.

Sad day; all our favorite sites will disappear one by one, I'm afraid. I'll miss Krug's. Hope he finds a new home.
