KCS Third Quarter Operating Results

KCS reports the following results:

Revenue of $605 million decrease of 4% from third quarter 2015
Carload volumes of 562 thousand a decrease of 4% from prior year
Operating income of $200 million  a decrease of 9%
Operating ratio 66.9% compared to 65.2 % 
Earnings per share $1.12 decrease of 7%

Intermodal revenue down 7%
Energy revenue down 15%
Overall carload volumes down 4%
