A Washout Rain Day On The BNSF
Author: Ritzville

It was a rain washout day for pictures in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 51-50 and .61 of rain sofar. It was also an all GE Orange day with one wet grain train after another. So, I've shortened my picture list to just a few wet trains, lol. Sun is supposed to return tomorrow for a day, then more rain. Beginning to think I live on the wet Westside of the state, lol.

1. WB 901am grain train with BNSF 7147-5811 on the point with DPU's and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
2. DPU's BNSF 6347-8355 on same train.
3. WB 956am manifest train with BNSF 6908 on the very point.

4.  EB 1213pm "Z" train with BNSF Orange Blast on the point.
5. Some wet people from Oregon looking over used rail in the rain. Not a good day for that. Hopefully some of that rail will disappear soon.
6. EB 110pm manifest train with BNSF 4019-6277-7652-4696-7589 on the pull.

7. Quick grab shot of EB 148pm grain train with BNSF 6605-4518 on the pull with DPU rolling by pld NP Ritzville Depot.
8. EB 342pm grain train with BNSF 4184-5468-7639 on the pull with SP sounding Nathan 3-chime. I was looking for red and gray.
9. WB 413pm grain train with BNSF 5081 on the very point in bad light and rain. Sorry for the blur.

Wouldn't you know it, the best train of the day shows up in bad light and rain, lol. Here is a quick grab shot of:

10. EB 440pm manifest train with KCS 4837-4864 in the head-end mix. Finally some foreign power.

That's it for this very wet day! Hope everyone has a great evening and tomorrow! Thank you so much for looking!

Wish I could do that J.J. We are having record amounts of rain for the month of October. Coming close to breaking the 1947 record.

SoCal just had two days of Thunderstorms and is about to get socked yet again.  Winter's barely even starting!  I think we'll be fine.

All part of the same rain package. Glad to hear someplace in California is getting rain.

I like that last picture. A pair of KSC engines.
