Round 2 on the Coast
Author: SPgoletablock

More often than not the ODOWP passes Westbound thru the Santa Barbara/Goleta area sub-dawn, last Saturday and today were back to back midmorning runs. Saturday the empties passed thru the Gaviota area noonish and today I caught it stretched out on the bluffs a bit after 1000 hrs.

Makes me wonder what is the longest continuous non-coal train in America. IE this oil coastline train has be running for decades.

Great shot from a great vantage point. This train has only been running from about the same time the Bakersfield cans stopped so not quite three decades?
