A Cold Busy Wednesday On The BNSF

It was a Cold breezy drippy day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 43-33 and .15 of rain. Traffic started to get busy after 11am. Here are some of the trains that passed by. The work train moved out of the backyard to the East end of town.

1. WB 1119am "Z" train with BNSF 3899-5188-4870-6793-7960 on the point.
2. Newly shopped 70 MAC looking good on EB 1137am "Z" train.
3. EB 1149pm Herzog work train passing thru the area and continuing EB.

4. EB 1226pm grain train with BNSF 6085-9075 and CREX 1214 on the pull.

10. EB 1252pm stack train with BNSF 6931-8114-4293 on the pull with DPU's and a friendly wave from the hogger.
11. DPU's on same train fading away by old NP Ritzville Depot.
12. EB 105pm grain train with BNSF 4054-8350-4449 on the point. Wish it was SP 4449, lol.

13. WB 207pm coal train with BNSF green and cream 9687-9760 and BNSF 9326 on the pull with DPU at Bauman Rd., Ritzville and friendly waves from the crew. My most interesting train of the day.

16. DPU BNSF green and cream 9620 on same coal train fading away towards downtown Ritzville.
17. MoW work train sitting on East yard track in Ritzville with BNSF 3932 on the point. Train is waiting for a crew to arrive and take it away EB.
18. WB 233pm coal train with BNSF 5743-6424 and CREX 1301 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-toot and wave from the hogger.

22. A pan shot of Warbonnet 723 on WB 404pm oil train. Tried pan shots in the bad light.

Unfortunately I think you missed the most interesting train of the day that I saw. There was a eastbound Q-PTLCHC with a orange GE leading another freshly rebuilt and repainted SD70MAC and two CSXT locomotives. It went through Cheney at 10:30am.

Probably went thru Ritzville early in the morning before I was up. I slept in this morning, lol.
