After stopping on the Canyon Diablo bridge, BNSF 8384 East begins to roll down off the mountain with its hot Z-train out of San Bernardino, CA. As the eastbound began to move, a Memphis, TN to Los Angeles, CA high priority intermodal train appears, as it races up the 1.5% grade to 7,335 feet above sea level. Due to a two inch gap in the switch on main track two at East Canyon Diablo, trains began to stack up as the "rapid responder" fixes the switch. After an hour, the responder was able to fix the switch, allowing the fleet of high priority Z-train roll east into Winslow for their crew change.
