A few days after Christmas, Iowa Pacific brought their Polar Express Christmas train back home from Wisconsin to Chicagoland.  I learned of this move rather late in the game, but I had just enough time to get it pulling into the business park where all of this equipment is stored.  I'm not going to lie, it's pretty neat to see a passenger train roll through industrial tracks like this, but I can't imagine the crew felt the same way.   In the background is the recently reallinged  CP/UP lines, O'Hare Airport and a strip of land that's under quite a bit of litigation right now, as detailed here: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,4101129,4101579#msg-4101579.

In addition, given the rumors of Iowa Pacific's financial health, I'm happy to have photographed this equipment while I had the chance, as you never know when the plug will get pulled.
