I was just watching KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles. There is a news warning that the Northbound 101 Freeway at Lindero Canyon Road that there is a derailment. Anyone heard anything or an update?

Lindero Cyn. Rd crosses the 101 in Thousand Oaks, far from any RR.
Reporter must have wrong location if there is a derailment or reports from the field don't recognize what the are seeing.

True Mike... probably the wrong location. The closest the RR is near the 101 is Camarillo, Ventura, Seacliff and Santa Barbara.

Won't be a good day on the Coast Line south of SLO.  Rainfall totals really adding up fast.  Most locations around Santa Barbara have already had 2 inches of rain in the last 6 hours with some area's now seeing 1/2 inch of rain per hour.  In the mountains above SB it's approaching 3+ inches.  Wind has been very strong too.

EDIT:  some current random 24 hour rainfall totals for Santa Barbara County -

Surf - 1.57 inches
Solvang - 3.35
Goleta - 3.16
Summerland - 2.09
Guadalupe - 1.55
Lompoc - 2.90

Wind gusts in many locations 30 - 40+ mph

The 101 north bound is closed at La Conchita which is west of sea cliff.
