Alongside Route 66
Author: BNSF-6432

Here in Tulsa, OK the Creek Sub begins leaving Cherokee Yard along Southwest Blvd. which is also a piece of Route 66, and is not hard to notice with many signs, structures, and statues that have been built within the past few years. One such example is this overhead sign identifying the old highway and city for northbound traffic.

BNSF 5371 leads a southbound freight out of Tulsa, OK on the evening of 11/16/16 while crossing 33rd W Ave.

That Yard in Tulsa is impressive Cherokee Yard. years ago I had the chance to go into the tower for a small group tour. It was well worth the time.
