UP Auto Racks Blown Off Track In Thrall Texas
Author: millerdc

Storms through the Austin area overnight blew auto racks over on the UP line between Roundrock and Taylor.  Probably will delay northbound Texas Eagle today.

they can route it up the old MKT through Elgin, Coupland then to Taylor- they've done it before- I have a photo from a year or 2 of 22 running up the Katy passing the Elgin depot.

I live in South Austin and the dispatcher just gave a clearence for a northbound train from the Bergstrom siding to Taylor.
So the tracks must not be blocked, siding or main line still open with autoracks on their sides.
Had very high winds at my house in the overnight storm.  Thankfully no damage yet.  Will look around somemore in more light.
