Specialty Paint Yesterday . . .
Author: SCKP187

Yesterday was the opportunity to get a shot of a unit I just didn't think was ever going to appear on my part of the UP.
After missing it by "just that much" on an eastern trip earlier this year, I was pleased to hear that NS 6920  Honoring Our Veterans was in the consist of the MFWCV.  Even though it wasn't leading it made a nice addition to the train.
1.     NS 6920 at Lenapah OK
2-3   Couple more angles of UP 9046-5821-NS 6920 MFWCV departing Lenapah OK heading to Coffeyville KS for crew change, set-out and fill.

more to follow . .

4.     Caught between road crossings and hearing the detector go off, had to shoot the shady side of this mt grain with all the power on the headend that will most likely become a 2x2 when loaded
5.     Later in the afternoon as trains began to stack up trying to get into Coffeyville, UP 7210-SPatch 6321 at Lenapah OK on an mt coal train headed back to the mines
6.     Right on its block was Tier 4 UP 2680-4711 with a short sand train or either the Neodasha cement train from Mingo TX ?

You had a nice busy sunny day trackside Brian. Nice catch on the NS 6920, and being a vertern it was nice to see that unit. I see you are rounding up coal trains again and also a patched SP unit. Nice shots!

Yep we will consider it an even trade for UP 7400 of which was on the sandpatch cam a few days ago.

6920 is also special to me. Largely due to several family members that served as well as myself. I saw this unit back in November leading 24M through Sandusky, Ohio. Very pleased with the unit.
