Murray Yard changes coming in Kansas City?
Author: JoCoLB

I picked up a rumor today regarding a possible major change in operations at BNSF's Murray Yard in North Kansas City, Mo. Anybody else heard anything regarding planned operational changes, including a downsizing of staff? What would be the reasons behind a role change for Murray?

Remember after the merger when they moved everything to Argentine. That lasted what about one day. Looks like they forgot and are going to try it again.

Isn't it mainly used for coal trains? if so, could be less traffic requiring less man power? Just an uneducated outsider taking a shot.

Not a rumor, it is reality. All local and yard work shifting to Argentine.

Heard that the coal train activities performed there (assuming 1k and 1500 miles inspections) are now going to be done at Lincoln where they fuel the trains.

In PNW news, heard there was also a major management shake up at Spokane WA too.
