Western Railroad Discussion > Inspection Special: Spanish Fork Canyon EditionDate: 04/26/17 09:30 Inspection Special: Spanish Fork Canyon Edition Author: Utah5005 Union Pacific's ever so popular Inspection Special that has been touring the Western states passed through Spanish Fork canyon this morning and it was very well covered. Due to time constraints and trying to conserve gas for tomorrows chase of 844 I only chased the train from the mouth of the canyon to Tie Fork. The trains was running under the symbol PSLDV2-26 for this part of it's trip.
Photo 1: The train passes the windmills as it enters the canyon. Photo 2: As the train highballs Rio one of Utah's legends steps on the gas on highway 6. Photo 3: Working up the grade towards Soldier Summit the special crosses Tie Fork Road. Thanks for looking! Timpanogos is north a ways. A gorgeous shot of Utah railroading and scenic Utah. Thanks for the correction.
