Think it's actually located in the City of Vernon, but it's just a few miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, CA. Slightly off topic question for the serious history buffs.... When and why did the station name here change from Manhattan to Hobart? What's it named for/after? Mr. MRL Date: 04/29/17 23:07 Re: Inside Hobart Tower Author: erielackawanna I know that Hobart was a short-lived town that was eventually merged into (and disappeared into) Vernon.

Near where I was born in SW Los Angeles is a NS street named Hobart also. Also wonder if there is any connection to Hobart Mills in No. Cal. Googling name just drives me around in circles. Have seen it once or twice, wonder if it will be around the next time I get out that way.
