Apache Railway info needed
Author: BNSFDS

I'm going to be in northern Arizona in 3 weeks on RR business and hoping I'll have some free time to drive over Holbrook and catch the Apache. What days of the week and time of day does it show up and do they still use Alcos as their primary motive power?

They are still all-Alco. Ok technically, they have some MLWs, but still.
Based on my experiences, the Apache runs about twice a week. Best thing you can do is call there office and ask them if theyre operating or not. They always tell me whenever I'm in town. Usually, mid-day to early afternoon is when they typically get to/from Holbrook.

Seems like they like running on Tuesday and Thursday as of late.

Tuesday is usually a good day to catch them. They go on on duty at 8AM and leave Snowflake around 10. They'll get head north to Holbrook and drop off their cars and pick up, if needed, and be back I Snowflake around 3PM.
