EWG-BNSF-UP Baretable Train
Author: funnelfan

Two UP SD70M's are out of the EWG (Eastern Washington Gateway RR) right now retrieving a "baretable" train of empty 40' well cars. This is the first of two train leaving the EWG after about 3 years in storage. This suggests that import traffic is up on the UP which is where the train is going. Not sure if the train will go to Pasco or Spokane to get on the UP.

Yuh know Ted, those cars are perfectly suitable for rolled hay, too bad the UP has no imagination.

Marine traffic is up on the Sunset Route with UP running more than the usual number of extra trains to Santa Teresa, NM, Marion, AR, Global 4, Dallas, and Englewood, TX from the LA/Long Beach port complex. UP is also increasing the IDULB from 2 times a week to 5 times a week.
