A few shots from the past couple of days around the South Puget Sound (Tacoma).

1) Tacoma Rail’s well kept MP15Ac 1522 poses for a shot with Mt Rainier and California’s State flower.

2) Cascades 516 making it’s way through the curves along the South Puget Sound

3) A UP Baretable passes the “slot train” that is working on a troublesome slide that just wants to have fun!. First came down about two weeks ago and took several days to clean up. Couple of days ago it just had to slide again. Much less, but still a couple of days work to get rid of the slow orders.

4) Used to be “Doing the Puyallup!” was the Puyallup Fair, this is railroading’s version. Trains on both sides of the Puyallup river and one crossing it.

5) Out on the tide flats, a Trackmobile is taking a some work from the UP tide flats local. This is the former Simpson Kraft Pulp mill, now RockTenn.

6) A little island hopping takes us out to Day Island for NB UP Stack train pulling up to Titlow to await Cascades 509.
