BNSF Unit still flying the FLAG
Author: ns2557

Well went thru the Tulsa/Claremore Ok area today. Along the way spotted this set of 4 BNSF SD60M's, all in BN Grn and the lead unit BNSF 1423 still sporting the US Flag Decal on the side of the short hood. Haven't seen to many BNSF units that still carry this symbol. And being Memorial Day, very fitting. Seeing 4 SD60M's any more, anywhere in service is also getting to be a rarity, that and the fact all of these are still in BN Grn Pnt. Also of note for those interested, there were 2 "Tri-Clops" and 2 of the newer style windshields on this one. Lead unit 1423 and the opposite end, the 1414 were the 3 pc windshield, the other 2, 1433 & 1438 were the 2 pc style. Nice to see these stalwarts still being used. Take care all. Much smaller and not placed over a high heat area.
Heat is not Scotchlite's friend.
